Oregon State Boise State match review
On a quintessential fall afternoon the Boise State Broncos took on the Oregon State Beavers at the Willow Lane Athletic Complex in Boise.
The match started out decisively in Oregon State's favor as they roared ahead scoring two quick tries against the Broncos. The Broncos then found a little bit of their own stride finding gaps in the Oregon State defense despite being dominated in the scrum for periods of the first half. At then end of the half Boise State led 26 to 22.
In the second half, momentum favored the Broncos. The season fit Broncos seemed to control all aspects of the game in the second half. Scoring four more tries to the Beavers two, to finish the match with a 54 to 32 win.
Boise State and Oregon State are conference opponents in the Pacific Mountain North division. The match was a friendly and does not count for any points toward the league standings.
Boise State will be on the road next week in Logan, Utah to take on the Utah State Aggies. The Teams have played twice before and are 1-1 all time in their history.

Idaho State game Review
The Boise State Broncos headed over to Pocatello to take on an in-state rival, the Idaho State Bengals rugby club. From the start of the match the Lady Broncos dictated the tempo, stretching the Idaho State defense on numerous occasions.
Flyhalf, Anna Strong, led a potent offensive attack distributing the ball to her back-line gaining massive amounts of territory. Outside Center, Alexia Fielsted, led the way in scoring for the backs with four tries.
The forwards, not to be undone, pieced together some great offloads in transition. The Pack also dominated the point of possession winning every offensive set piece.
The Broncos did have some errors on the day, allowing a late turnover try, and also missing nine out of thirteen conversion attempts.
The final score was Boise State 73 Idaho State 5. Molly Lutjens captained the side.

Boise State vs Montana State pre-game write up:
Montana State On the Horizon
The Lady Broncos are a few days away from the first match of the 2017-18 season. The opponent, Montana State University. A conference foe from last season, Montana State is a well established division one opponent.
Last season Montana State defeated the Broncos in Boise and in Bozeman during conference play. The Lady Bobcats also defeated all other conference opponents on their way to winning the Rocky Mountain division two crown. The Lady Bobcats finished the season in the top eight after losing in the national quarterfinals.
The well established program is led by Ed McKenna whose team success can be attributed to the coaches hard work building the program. The Bobcats won their first division one game defeating New Mexico 40-10 last weekend and look poised to have a successful division one campaign.
Last season Boise State had match-up issues with Montana State but Coach LaPlante believes that the Broncos have improved as a program to potentially create a competetive game."the team is much better at some key positions then we were last season" said LaPlante " Our rugby looks better and feels better, our team is still young but a very talented group of athletes."
The match will be Start on Saturday September 16th at 11am at the Lincoln Field Turf on the Boise State Campus.
