Join us on September 18th and 19th Idaho Orff Fall Workshop with the fabulous David Thaxton! He is one of the most creative, clever, talented, and professional presenters in the Orff world. Along with writing awesome canons, David is an expert at integrating classroom content into the music world, particularly science concepts. He will be using scientific ideas about the Aurora Borealis, space travel, the power of fire, and the movement of birds. He has some great strategies with recorders as well. Some of you may remember his work with Ardith Collins as directors of two of our IMEA Honor Orff Ensembles. This is a workshop you don’t want to miss! Inform your classroom teachers, too, about this opportunity to incorporate music into the science curriculum, particularly the upper elementary grades. We welcome classroom teachers!
Register now on our idahoorff.org website. The workshop days will be held at Willow Creek Elementary School in Nampa, 198 N. Elementary Lane, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Our fabulous Treasures store will be open both days with many cool teaching materials for you to peruse.
