Our first graders celebrated their 100th day of school yesterday!
Congratulations are in order!
Our 6th Grade Future City Team, Albiya, earned 4th place in the Idaho Future City Regional Competition. They also earned a Special Award for the Best Conservation of Water Resources through Reuse.
7th grade Future City team, Arvore, earned a Special Award for the Best Land Surveying Practices.
Future City is a competition for middle school students, where students imagine and design a city 100 years into the future. This year students had to design a city based on the principles of a circular economy. Students learned that a circular economy is one that has no waste, all products are recycled or reused and natural systems are regenerated.
Many thanks to Mrs. Gado for leading and teaching these students!

Construction on Koelsch Elementary School began in March of 1956 with students and faculty being housed in Cole and Franklin Schools until the new school was ready for occupancy. It took about nine months for most of the construction.
Garfield Elementary is a Title One Elementary School located in Boise, Idaho servicing students pre-k through sixth grade.
This is a site where teachers, parents and all who are interested in Chinese Immersion Program in Boise can connect and share ideas and thoughts.
