Some of my favorite shots from 2025, both transformative and transitional. Endured some heartbreaking losses, had some great wins. In spite of it all, traditions were kept and traditions were made. Thankful for it all, and ready for what’s in store in the year ahead!

Boise 70.3. Not where we wanna be, but we’re getting there.

CHATTANOOGA 70.3 — Officially kicked the season off this weekend, and couldn’t think of a better place for it than in the Scenic City. ‘Nooga brought some heat- and while I came out with a solid performance from a mostly well-executed race, a few challenges were taken on and I’ve still got a few some things to get dialed before returning for the Ironman this fall — but that’s the process and I’m here for it.
Beyond the race, it was awesome to connect with the crew, visit the factory, and see where/how my bike was built. Also got to explore some of the sights — this town produces some great stuff...
Until next time, Chattanooga — and fingers crossed we’ll actually get to swim in the Tennessee this fall 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Time to recover, reload, and lock in for Boise 70.3.

Last weekend became the kind of adventure even a wild imagination couldn’t dream up. I got into Augusta, GA Thursday night ahead of 70.3 Augusta, assured that whatever remnants of Hurricane Helene would land well West of us. I was awoken in the wee hours of the morning to what became one of the most intense situations of my life- Helene had arrived at our doorstep as a Cat 1 Hurricane and was taking out Georgia Pines like twigs. With power out, roads blanketed with trees, and no cell service, the ONYERLEFT boys and I surveyed the aftermath and found a sliver of a path to get our miraculously unscathed rental cars out of a block otherwise encumbered by endless obstacle.

We popped downtown to bear witness to devastation consistent with our neighborhood. Realizing a race was the last thing happening in Augusta, we got on the horn with to see if by chance they would let us race in IM Chattanooga. Though I was torn up witnessing so much devastation, I understood my efforts to help were best served in evacuating, if anything to preserve precious local resources.

Ironman came through with allowing us to transfer, and with enough peer pressure and I took the opportunity to take a white hot crack. We drove the 6h trip and went for it, and though it’s tough to want to talk about the race in the wake of all the devastation witnessed, I somehow rode some career best numbers, and subsequently, by some miracle, found some magic in absolutely wrecked legs on the second half of the run to climb to 16th.

Prayers out to all affected by Helene, the entirety of this nation is witnessing in real time a gross mismanagement from our national government in any semblance of a relief effort.

Oh Canada! 🇨🇦 Thank you for the All Dressed memories, racing in the Great White North has been hit and miss across the years, but so so happy I was able to nab a Top-10 at the last running of Penticton’s Ironman Canada!

Thanks to all the friends and family that have stuck with me thick and thin this season, and stoked to see what the rest Maple have in store 🍁

Ogopogo, time to get back to training 🐉

IRONMAN LAKE PLACID - I’ve always wanted to race Placid, and was amazing to finally take on the brutal terrain of the Adirondacks in my first full distance of the year. It was great to race on the legacy Winter Olympic sites from the 1932 & 1980 Games, truly some hallowed ground.

As for the race, I had a solid showing, taking 25th in what was another loaded Pro Series Field. I was probably happiest with my run, which of course was what I focused on the least in this last training block. Classic. Though the start of the season hasn’t exactly gone to plan, I’ve definitely been thrown my share of curveballs. And like always, just gonna keep stepping up and swinging. I know I’ve got a good one in me, and quickly getting recharged and refocused for the next one.

OCEANSIDE 70.3 - Ya gotta rip that Band-Aid off on a new season at some point, so I opted to get it done early at the first Pro Series event of the year at Oceanside. It definitely wasn’t the prettiest, but all-in-all it was a solid weekend. A few things definitely didn’t go to plan, but that’s just racing, and season debuts are always a little bit rocky. It was awesome to throw down with the .triathlon boys, and great to be back in San Diego after 6 years. Lots to build off of, the stoke is high, and excited for what’s ahead.
