Mary Alice successfully defended her dissertation on Friday, February 22, titled: "Using A Multifaceted Robotics-based Intervention to Increase Student Interest in STEM and Computational Thinking Skills." Dr. Hudson, a design teacher for New Hanover County Schools, defended her dissertation from her home in Wilmington, NC. Free online teaching course prepares hundreds of local educators for virtual learning this fall - Boise State News

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Boise State's Educational Technology professor, Dr. Brett Shelton along with Dr. Patrick Lowenthal and Dr. Mary Ann Parlin, offered a free Intro to Online Teaching course over the summer to kindergarten through 12th grade teachers to help them improve their online teaching skills.

The EDTECH department is planning to make some changes to the courses being offered during the summer. Starting in summer 2021, we will only be offering elective courses for our MET, EdD, and EdS programs. The required courses for those programs will continue to be offered during fall/spring semesters. Therefore, please be advised that starting in summer 2021, we will no longer offer the following courses in the summer session.
EDTECH 501 - Introduction to Educational Technology
EDTECH 502 - Creating Educational Websites
EDTECH 503 - Instructional Design
EDTECH 504 - Theoretical Foundations of Educational Technology
EDTECH 505 - Evaluation for Educational Technologists
