In less than 24 hours, Grand Entry will begin and you will find yourself in the ExtraMile Arena, among many more to witness the amazing cultural event that is Seven Arrows Powwow.

Some reminders or new points to keep in mind to be respectful of the event and of the people it's for:

1. Remove hats or head coverings and stand (if able to) respectfully during special songs. Thersr include Grand Entry, flag song, honor songs, veteran's songs, or any other that the MC designates
2. The correct term for a dancer's outfit is regalia -- not costume. Never touch a dancer's regalia
3. Ask permission before taking pictures or dancer's in regalia. If the picture is for publication or commercial use, this should be explained before the picture is taken
4. If you see a lost or dropped feather do NOT pick it up. Notify the nearest staff member or Arena Director immediately.
5. Pointing with fingers is considered poor manners by some tribes. If you must point, use your head and nod in the direction you wish to indicate.
6. Never cross the arena floor!
7. Do not go into drum circles. If a drum group is singing or about to sing, do not approach the drum. Stay on the perimeter of the arena floor.
8. No alcohol or drugs are allowed
9. The seats nearest the dancing circle are reserved for singers, dancers, and drummers
10. Refrain from negative thoughts or comments

Whew, that was a lot, but thank you for reading! A couple other things, everyone is free to join in the Intertribal dances by invitation of the MC. Keep an open mind and heart, new experiences bring new insight!
