Idaho HJR4 isn't really about drugs.

Today it's Schedule I and II substances. Tomorrow it could be any issue that matters to you—healthcare, reproductive rights, public health, health freedom, education, gun rights, wages, or something none of us can predict yet.

The initiative and referendum process exists for a reason. It gives the people a way to act when they believe the Legislature isn't listening. Whether you support or oppose a particular issue shouldn't matter. Protecting the people's ability to have a voice should.

If government can take away the people's voice on one issue, what's stopping future efforts to limit it on others?

This election isn't just about one policy—it's about preserving the principle that the people should always have a voice in their government.
