RISE was established as the coordinating body for the shared community vision of "every child, every step of the way, cradle to career." No single person, program or provider can solve the challenges our children face in achieving their full potential.
Starting in the classroom and extending to health care, housing, public safety and transportation, children must be given the support and resources needed to reach their full potential. RISE mobilizes diverse local partners to find and solve problems with data; leverage the unique knowledge and resources of partners; use a rigorous approach to define and measure progress; and push people on changi

CALL TO ACTION: Sign up to testify 👉: https://bit.ly/3pgOzXe
HB 669 is another school voucher bill being pushed by the IFF. This bill will reduce funding for public schools and destroy our rural school districts. Its purpose is to divert funding to private and religious schools that are largely located in 4 of Idaho's largest counties.
HB 669 IS BEING HEARD THIS MONDAY (2/28/22) AT 8:00 AM.
You can make your voice heard by singing up to testify remotely, in person, or in writing. Tell the House Education Committee to VOTE NO on HB 669!
IFF employees tried really hard to make a case for private school vouchers...what they did instead was make the case against them.
Say No to private school vouchers in Idaho Vouchers are harmful to public education and hurt rural schools and small towns.
Local Control. Something we all agree on, regardless of what political side we stand on. #idleg #idpol
Let local patrons make decisions for their schools This doesn’t change when it comes to our local schools and the bonds that have become necessary to run them.
Things are not always as they seem. This rings especially true with the Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF), a libertarian “think tank” funded by dark money, deep pocket donors.

Lies, extremist rhetoric and intimidation tactics have no place in Idaho. #idleg #idpol
Idaho Freedom Foundation’s extremist rhetoric needs to be exposed, not catered to There is no room for neutrality when it comes to giving a platform to an organization so intent on destroying Idaho’s education system by spreading incessant, damaging lies and then raising money off it. │ Opinion
Shame on these special interests groups who are unapologetically throwing around false accusations aimed at outraging parents. Idahoans are better than that - we see straight through you.
Parents and influence in the classroom Parents want better for our children, and our teachers, than an education system forcefully coerced by a narrow-minded activist group.
"Conflict entrepreneurs" taking dark money to spread lies and hurl false charges at Idaho's public education system is Idaho's truest form of indoctrination. #idleg #idpol
Feb. 3 Letters to the Editor Respect public school teachers
"If IFF is able to carry out its plan to close down the public school system, it will rip the ❤️ out of Idaho communities. That would also put taxpayers at the mercy of for-profit schools over which patrons would have no control."
Freedom Foundation politicians are gunning for Idaho public schools Idaho public schools have provided a free education to kids from every economic level, faith, race, creed, political outlook, whatever, since 1890.
"When considering voucher expansion plans from the perspective of citizens, one is likely to find that, rather than providing more choice, vouchers limit the choices we can make together as citizens and restrict our hopes for the future."
Analysis | An argument for why school vouchers harm American civic life Sarah M. Stitzlein argues that while school vouchers may help individual families, they harm U.S. democracy.
Idahoans support their local community schools and the people who operate them...It’s time for all of Idaho to join together and follow their lead. #idleg #idpol
Results from a recent poll conducted in Idaho commissioned by RISE Idaho should focus on improving funding for public education and should ensure that all Idaho classrooms have access to the resources necessary for students to be successful.
Role model = person looked to by others as an example to be imitated.
Is this the type of role model you want for your children? #idleg #idpol
Idaho’s superintendent must be a model for all of Idaho’s children Mr. Branden Durst is a poor fit for the office. He apparently does not understand that all educators must always strive to be models of self-control.
Where 3/4 of private school enrollees reside in 4 of Idaho’s 44 counties, how & where would the vast majority of students in rural Idaho use vouchers? #idleg #idpol
What the education freedom pledge really means It’s time to identify and support candidates and legislators who understand the need to sustain and maintain a “general, uniform and thorough system of public, free common schools”.
This is huge! 🙌 🎉 👏

Here’s one simple truth: enrollment-based funding would simply allocate money that’s already been budgeted to schools.
Idaho must move to an enrollment-based funding system The time is right: we know that an attendance-based system does not work, and the pandemic has shown us that it needs to change for good.
