Wesleyan Preschool and Kindergarten

Summer camp was cooking this week. Literally-it was Cooking week at Wesleyan. The children spent each day making something different. From classic mac and cheese to crockpot pizza, fruit kabobs, chocolate ice cream and even pickles! The pickles were a huge hit! Children ended the week with recipes and their own decorated chef’s apron. It was a tasty week!

Our school year ended a few weeks ago, but our playground just completed an amazing upgrade of turf!!! Thank you .boise ! It looks fabulous!! With donations from Wesleyan and KASP families along with .cathedral we were able to create much more inviting play area. We are now into summer mode with summer camps. Our 4/5 class took a walk to the front of the church on Monday. With clipboards in hand, they carefully sketched the beautiful details of the church, including the huge round stained glass window. 🎨⛪️

When they returned to the classroom, the children used watercolor paints to complete their masterpieces. Watching their creativity, focus, and unique perspectives come to life made for a special day! ❤️

It's springtime! Caterpillars from have landed in our classrooms, and the kids are buzzing with excitement. They're observing, drawing, and learning about these tiny creatures until they emerge as beautiful butterflies.

Another drizzly spring day and guess what preschoolers do? Build a yoga mat-chair fort! Their teamwork, creative problem-solving, and collaboration turned indoor playtime into pure imagination.

What do preschoolers do on rainy Idaho spring days? Play hard! Huge thanks to our children’s ministry .cathedral and for the awesome update to our shared basement spaces!!

Despite the chilly and rainy weather this week, our preschoolers still had a fun celebrating spring. They enjoyed decorating Easter egg shapes, playing counting games, going on an Easter egg hunt in the playground, and creating blue skies with fluffy white clouds. Wishing everyone a joyful Easter and a day filled with sunshine.

The children have been diving into activities like painting with marbles and brushes, building domino structures, and experimenting with color effects in celery at the science table, plus getting creative at the writing table
