If your child falls apart right after school pickup, you’re not doing anything wrong.

Young children spend the day working hard to follow routines, navigate friendships, share materials, and manage big feelings. That takes a lot of emotional energy.

When they return to the place where they feel safest, those held-in emotions can finally come out. This is often called **restraint collapse**, and it’s a common developmental response.

A calm transition after school can help children decompress.
A snack, quiet play, or simply reconnecting together can make a big difference.

Sometimes the biggest feelings show up with the people children trust the most.

At the core of our work is a belief in children's innate curiosity, their built-in urge to make sense of their world. Children construct their own knowledge of how the world works in a sequence of developmental stages. Children are not waiting for us- they actively search for meaning, reasons, answers, clues and clarity!

Join us for a no pressure, family friendly weekend under the stars.

🗓 Saturday–Sunday (check-out by 2 PM)
📍 TCS has the entire campground — sites are first come, first served
🕛 Families encouraged to arrive around 12 PM Saturday
🍴 BYO meals — we’ll bring snacks + s’mores
🐾 Dogs welcome (on leash!)
🔥 Communal fire pit only — bring your ghost stories

No agenda, no stress — just a chance to let the kids run wild, hang with your TCS crew, and maybe sneak a nap in the sun.
