Dear CCS Elementary, Middle, Preschool, and Extended Program Family,
As we continue to learn about how our community, country, and world are responding to COVID-19, we want to keep you up to date with what we at Calvary Boise are doing to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
The most recent update is that we have had to make the very difficult decision to close our CCS Elementary, Middle, Preschool, and Extended Programs effective immediately (3/15/2020) through Spring Break (3/29/2020). This decision has not been made lightly, and is based on the following factors:
-Our care and desire to do all that we can to help slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout our church and community; especially keeping in mind those who are at highest risk;
-Our care and desire to heed advice from the government and health care professionals and officials on the best way to slow the spread of COVID-19;
-Recent updates from school professionals and officials, including school closures throughout the Treasure Valley.
Additionally, we were informed this afternoon that a staff member under the umbrella of our CCS family is currently under quarantine after being tested for COVID-19. The results have not yet come in, so please be praying for this person and their family, as well as our community as a whole.
We understand that this closure may bring difficulties for families, and we are sorry for that, but we firmly believe that although this is a tough decision, it is the right one. We are praying for and through ways we can help alleviate some of the stresses these changes will cause. We will continually be prayerful in all things and seek to do our best to be proactive in keeping you all up to date. Please monitor your email, ccsboise.org, and the Calvary Christian School Boise page for updates.
In all of this we will continue to point to faith in God and not fear in our circumstances, seeking to make prayerful, wise decisions in the safety of wise and Godly counsel. Please continue praying with us through this situation, and periodically check calvaryboise.com/coronavirus for the latest news and updates from us.
Love changed everything

CCS Middle School
I hope you all have had a wonderful, refreshing summer that allowed for special time with your kids. My kids are big now but we treasure every moment given with them.
A little about me: This will be my second year as principal at Calvary Christian School after teaching kindergarten for 11 years. However, I have been a part of this school family since it first started 15 years ago! Our girls attended CCS all the way through and were spiritually and academically prepared for what God had planned for them after. Our oldest, Hannah, went on to graduate from another private school and will graduate from BSU in the spring. Our youngest daughter, Sarah, went on to one of the biggest public high schools in Idaho and will be graduating from Rocky Mountain this year. My husband, David, and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in April. We love Jesus, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying Idaho.
We are so excited to be celebrating the 15th Anniversary Year of Calvary Christian School! God has done great things through the kids, staff and families over the years and we look expectantly to what He has in store for us this year. “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19) Just like God physically and spiritually made a way for the Israelites in the desert and salvation for all, He is making a way for us here at the school. He is doing a new thing!
One new thing in our elementary and middle school, although still small, the number of students per class will increase. In the past, we have had classes with as little as 8 students. Moving forward, to be better stewards with what God has given us, we will have bigger class sizes. Our goal would be to keep them between 16 to 25 students with educational aids as needed. By being mindful of our student to teacher ratio, we can invest more funds towards enriching our curriculum and our students’ educational experience.
We hope that everyone is able to attend our Meet Your Teacher Fellowship beginning in the sanctuary at Calvary Boise on Friday, August 24th, from 6:30-8:00. We will have a staff introduction, communicate some important information, pray over the staff and students, and then take time to meet teachers in classrooms. We know summer is busy and appreciate you scheduling this time on your calendar.
Please go to our website at https://ccsboise.org/ to find our calendar and grade level supply lists.
You will be receiving an email from your child’s teacher on Tuesday, August 21st.
Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in your child’s education! Please cover the school, kids, staff and families in prayer. We are interceding for you all too!
All glory to God-

To qualify to be in the drawing for the tuition credit:
1.) You have to have a student who is enrolled for the 2018-1019 school year in kindergarten or a higher grade level.
2.) Tuition credit is divided in equal monthly payments or taken off the total for the year if full tuition is paid up front. (No additional discount is given for paying all at once.)
3.) You must visit at least three different elementary/middle school grade levels and have your passport stamped for each class visited; one of the classes visited must be a middle school classroom.
4.) For each class you visit, the teacher will stamp your passport.
5.) Only one passport per family can be entered in the drawing.
6.) At the end of the evening, one passport will be drawn and that family will receive the tuition credit for the oldest student in their family enrolled at CCS.
7.) If the recipient withdraws at any time for any reason, the tuition credit will be forfeit. There will be no monetary reimbursement of the tuition credit.
8.) A new family can qualify for the $50 registration credit and still have an opportunity to win the drawing for the tuition credit if they meet the qualifications above and below. ANY new family with a child enrolled for preschool-eighth grade can receive a $50 registration credit by:
-attending the open house and visiting three grade levels, one of which has to be a middle school classroom.
-receiving three stamps on the passport from teachers at different grade levels.
A new family is any family who has not had any student attend CCPS, CCS or CCMS at any time. If you have a preschool student only, do not turn the passport in for the drawing. Please give it to the principal, Mrs. Tiber, for your new family registration credit.
(The remainder of the registration fee is non-refundable. No monetary exchange is given for the credit.)
