Pre-registration is OPEN for Skate Night! Skip the lines! Join us at Treasure Valley Skate on February 27th. Please make sure to register each person attending skate night - even if you're just observing. Admission is $7 and $4 for skate rentals if you or your students chooses to skate.

VAL-O-GRAMS!!
Show your students and teachers some love next week with a Val-O-Gram! For just $1, you can send a sweet message to someone special. These adorable grams are the perfect way to spread kindness and make someone's day a little bit brighter. Next week, Monday-Wednesday the Middle School will be selling them in the Lobby before and after school 2/10-2/12 (M-W) and all Val-O-Grams will be delivered on Thursday 2/13.

The mountain is getting ready for our Family Ski day next Friday, February 14th! There is tons of new snow and we can't wait to see you up there!

Middle schoolers got to practice their Canva design skills and create an amusement park or flier explaining Christian values in a digital world. In computer skills class, we discuss a lot of digital citizenship themes throughout the year and how important it is to be safe online while learning to make good choices with technology. Students got to learn more about digital citizenship with this project but through the lens of Christian values (digital discipleship) and how their faith guides their online interactions and responsibilities.

While the preschoolers are away - the teachers will play! Staff was celebrating making it to the middle of the school year with the students, but then they needed to have their own celebration also! There is no shortage of fun around here, that's for sure.

Yesterday, the entire school gathered for our highly anticipated All-School Spelling Bee. Students from all grades showcased their spelling talents in an exciting but also nerve-wracking competition.
After 16 intense rounds, the competition narrowed down to three outstanding finalists and then Olivia M. in 4th grade was crowned our 1st place School Spelling Bee winner. She qualifies for regionals held right here in Boise! A huge thank you to the teachers and volunteers who helped organize the event, and to the audience for their support.
Great job everyone, we are so proud to be Royals!
Join us tomorrow for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. We will be in the sanctuary at 8:25 to cheer on our contestants.

Would you join us in blessing our CCS staff by bringing in coffee pods for their break room Keurig machine? We will have drop off bins for students to place donations outside the school gym, and preschool building. Decaf, Seasonal and Traditional coffee pods are welcome!
The teachers and staff are so appreciative and love snagging a delicious cup of coffee to keep them going during the day.

You may have heard the 'buzz' around school! We are thrilled to share that Calvary will be hosting a schoolwide Scripps Spelling Bee on January 23rd, 2025, in the Sanctuary! This is an exciting opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work and language skills, and to challenge themselves in a supportive environment. As an added bonus, families and parents are invited to come and cheer everyone on!
This week, the students have been testing in their classrooms and a few students from each class get to proceed to the Bee on January 23rd.
The students are very excited (and nervous) about this. More information will come out soon, but please join us in the Sanctuary on January 23rd. Time TBD.
We are planning a CCS Family Ski Day where we meet at the mountain for some fellowship, snow and skiing!

Middle School had an awesome day today! Beginning with dodge ball (and Mr. Green even joined!). A secret Santa gift exchange in the later morning. And the day ended with Escape Rooms! Our staff and students are so special here at CCS!
