HB 730 passed the full House yesterday and will be heard next in the Senate Health and Welfare Committee on Monday, March 16 at 3:00 PM. There is still time to contact your lawmakers and urge them to oppose the bill. Let them know why you believe HB 730 would be harmful for Idaho families. Nearly 1 in 2 SNAP households in Idaho have children, and about 1 in 4 include a senior or someone with a disability.

Oppose HB 730 - Tell Idaho Lawmakers to Protect SNAP for Idaho Families 03/06/2026

House Bill 730 would make significant changes to how Idaho administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), including adding new state requirements beyond federal rules.

These changes could increase paperwork, make the system more complex, and raise the risk of costly errors for the state.
