Red states target SNAP fraud, errors under threat of costly federal penalties • Idaho Capital Sun State officials across the country are looking to crack down on fraud and mistakes in the nation’s largest food assistance program, SNAP.

HB 730 passed the full House yesterday and will be heard next in the Senate Health and Welfare Committee on Monday, March 16 at 3:00 PM. There is still time to contact your lawmakers and urge them to oppose the bill. Let them know why you believe HB 730 would be harmful for Idaho families. Nearly 1 in 2 SNAP households in Idaho have children, and about 1 in 4 include a senior or someone with a disability.
