We're grateful to Andrea (voice & ukulele) and Bill (piano), who foster litters through Simply Cats, for connecting us with these two perfect babies. They bring such joy to our home and entire studio family!

The teaching format is amazing with a mix of online tutorials, one on one and group learning you get such a great mix of instruction. It’s a really fun and low key way to learn playing an instrument. This spring we said farewell to studio cat, myth, and legend: Bitty Witters. 💚
On what would have been Witters' 19th birthday, we invite you to celebrate the colorful legacy of our music-loving friend. If you were in our studio back in "the inside days," please to share a memory in the comments. If you never had the pleasure of meeting Witters, here are some typical music lesson hijinks: stealing car keys, napping in instrument cases, catching flies (once breaking a lamp in the process), and openly judging everyone's musical abilities in direct opposition to our studio mission!
Thanks to all who appreciated Witters' magnificent sass and sweet snuggles over nearly two decades of music lessons! 👑

We have so much to be thankful for this year. ✨
Right now we're especially grateful to have started construction on the expansion of our outdoor classroom, just in time for the cold weather. We look forward to filling this space with many joyous campfire jams in years to come!

It's true! We don't choose our songs -- our players suggest them! 💕
For our upcoming fall season, our studio members submitted 107 song ideas. 🤯 Out of these numerous and wonderful suggestions, we've selected six "total bangers" (as Marcus would say) to break down using our Song Cycle Method. Players learn each song over the course of three weeks, and finish each season knowing a bunch of fun, jammable tunes! 🎶

It was an honor to chat with the young at Future Public School!
visited our 5th graders yesterday to make connections and chat about music as a vehicle for change. Angie & Marcus captivated the engineers with chord progressions and a great discussion about empathy in music, how chords enhance your feelings as you listen & thoughtful responses to student generated questions.
