At the most recent How Money Works class we led for a local business, one of our participants made the comment that while he had a pension, annuities, and an IRA, he had no idea what his actual retirement goal was: 2 million? 4 million? More? Should he go more aggressive with his saving and investing or more conservative?

This is super common. Most folks do not know what the end goal is, and even worse (as is often the case), HOW to get there.

That's the starting place for us when we work with our clients, helping them understand their Financial Independence Number, and how to reach it, taking into account things like tax impact and inflation.

As the new year approaches, many people are identifying new goals they want to reach. The problem is, a year is a long time, and maintaining momentum and motivation to hit that goal as of a year from now can be a big struggle.

That's why our company uses a goal-setting mindset and process called the 12 Week Year created by Brian Moran to help make far-off goals become more realistic and tangible.

It does that by chunking down those goals into 12 week timeframes and also simplifying what the goals are and how to reach them by identifying the ACTIVITIES that will lead to the desired result.

Time-blocking and scheduling those activities in a 12 week timeframe is what's key to realizing those goals and building/maintaining the momentum to reach the goals, and beyond!

🚨 Just because you're young and/or low to mid income doesn't mean you can't get any help with a financial game plan.

Recently, we had a conversation with a young friend who's having a baby, trying to buy a house, and just live life. When asked if he'd ever worked with a financial professional before, his response was: "No, I thought I needed to make more money before I could get any help or guidance."

We were recently on a podcast to talk about the need for financial education and empowerment in America.

The stats aren't good...

😨 82% of Americans feel stressed about money
😬 78% of households live paycheck to paycheck
😱 Household debt is at an all time high, student loan debt is at an all time high, and to cap it off, credit card debt is at an all time high (yes we have sources for all these)

Everywhere we look, the market is bigger, growing, and more under-served than ever. This is not just a lower or middle class problem either...it's an every class problem.

Something has to change, which is why our company is on a mission to educate and empower the everyday American with the education, information, and resources to take control of their financial futures.

We believe that our clients deserve to be educated first and foremost, before even learning what all the options and solutions are available to them. They deserve to be knowledgable and literate in order to start the solutions that give them peace of mind.

Just like with Costco samples, a family should be able to sample the financial solutions available to them without the pressure of making a decision and buying. Nor should they be turned away because they don't meet some dumb standard about meeting a minimum amount of income or net worth.
