Two week ago, all four of our student bodies voted to approve a joint resolution in support of the Idaho LAUNCH program. Since LAUNCH expanded to help cover the cost of education for in-demand careers, we have already begun to see results. More students attended in-state institutions this year, which sets Idaho apart from many other states whose universities are struggling with declining enrollment. Additionally, there were huge gains among students who are low-income. If the goals of LAUNCH were to open doors and to keep Idaho students in Idaho, we believe this is early evidence of the program’s success.

Education and career technical training prepare students for good jobs, which translates into economic growth as our graduates choose to live and work in Idaho.

We are grateful to Governor Little not only for taking the time to meet with us and discuss how LAUNCH is impacting our students, but also for his leadership in ensuring Idaho’s students have access to the programs and training they need to be competitive in the workforce.

Dear Broncos,

Last Friday, I submitted a proposal to the executive cabinet to allocate additional funding to support our student organizations, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive. Today, I am pleased to announce that $15,000 will be transferred to the Direct Grant Budget to meet the growing demand for funding. With student engagement at an all-time high, this reallocation ensures that clubs and organizations can continue creating meaningful experiences on campus. Investing in our student organizations strengthens our community and enhances opportunities for leadership, connection, and growth.

ASBSU remains committed to ensuring every student has a meaningful and accessible experience while at Boise State.

As Always, Go Broncos.
