As we plan to expand our Upper School into the high school grades next year, we’re already beginning to hire outstanding faculty to help shape this new chapter.

Idaho Novus Classical Academy is pleased to offer a Cross Country program right here in the beautiful foothills of Avimor with its hundreds of miles of trails and stark alpine scenery.

Ms. Young and Ms. Pirro are proud to announce the return of Idaho Novus’ future state championship-winning cross country team for the fall of 2026.

Practices are held after school each week between 3:45 and 4:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Numerous meets and competitions are scheduled for this year.

The Novus Knights completed their first cross country meet this season at the Soggy Sneaker Run. Our athletes showed tremendous courage and perseverance as they took on the course and pushed themselves all the way to the finish line.

It is not too late to join our team this fall. If your student would like to register, please reach out to [email protected], and consider coming out to support our athletes competing at our upcoming meets this fall season.

New York Times bestselling author and family physician Dr. Leonard Sax visited Novus last week and gave a talk to families titled Evidence-Based Parenting. This presentation was well received by those in attendance and full of practical wisdom supported by strong and growing bodies of evidence. Although we cannot repeat this presentation for those who missed it, here are three of the many assertions that he made: (1) Social media is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18, (2) Cell phones and other electronic devices need to have parental monitoring software installed and should be turned in to parents before bedtime, and (3) Family dinner is much more important than after school activities. If you missed his visit and want to learn more, he has written four books that are all relevant for parents attempting to navigate the 21st century.
