Gemba Boise provides community based transitional living for young adults building independence through real-world coaching, community, and connection.

We specialize in college, career and independent living support. Gemba Gap Program is a young adult transition program located in Boise, ID. We mentor those wanting to explore their interests, and find their path. By assessing personality, values, motivators, purposes, & passions, we help structure paths for young adults, helping them transition into adulthood with new-found focus on goals and aspirations.

At Gemba, we view executive functioning struggles as an access problem.

Developed by Gemba’s Program Director, Amee Hardy, LCPC, the CSO Framework (Capacity, Skill, and Ownership) helps our coaching team better understand where a young adult may be getting stuck and how to build meaningful support around it.
Instead of relying on pressure or punishment, this framework focuses on identifying barriers, strengthening skills, and gradually helping students take ownership of their routines, goals, and daily functioning over time.

The world can feel louder, brighter, and more overwhelming for neurodivergent young adults than most people realize.

Sensory overload impacts everything from emotional regulation and executive functioning to social interactions and daily routines. At Gemba, we take a neurodiversity-affirming approach that considers the full picture — including the nervous system, sensory environment, and the invisible load many young adults are carrying every day. Life skills are learned through repetition, structure, support, and practice over time.

Things like cleaning, hygiene, laundry, sleep routines, meal planning, time management, and daily responsibilities can feel overwhelming without the right systems in place. Young adults are supported through individualized schedules, accountability, follow-through, and ongoing coaching that helps turn everyday tasks into sustainable habits.

Growth doesn’t only happen during a semester and support shouldn’t disappear when the school year ends.
For many young adults, real progress happens through consistency, routine, practice, setbacks, and continued support over time. That’s why Gemba’s program is designed to provide year-round coaching and guidance that evolves with each student’s goals, needs, and stage of growth. Learn more at www.gembaboise.com.

Independence doesn’t happen all at once and it doesn’t look the same for everyone.

For neurodiverse young adults, it’s built through real-life experiences, consistent support, and the space to learn, try, and grow. From managing daily routines to making decisions and following through, every step matters.

At Gemba, independence isn’t about doing everything alone, it’s about building the skills, confidence, and ownership to navigate life in a way that actually works.
