A fun project we worked on with our colleague Fred Fritchman. Thanks for the opportunity, MVHS!

Just in time for Christmas in Melba! Check out the new interpretive panels on the north side of the Melba Valley Museum to learn about the history of our community. We are so appreciative of TAG Historical Research & Consulting for research and text, and Fred Fritchman for design and installation oversight. And, of course, for our generous sponsor.

We're in the midst of a website redesign for TAG (taghistory.com), which we plan to complete this spring. It's time for an update--we incorporated The Arrowrock Group in 1994 and have been dba as TAG since 2005. Looking through our files for snappy stats and info, we've learned that since 2007 when we started tracking the numbers we have served 157 clients and completed 465 projects.

I took a walk at lunch today, a beautiful fall day. I ended up not far from our building at the Assay Office newly renovated and landscaped. They’ve added a walking path with interpretive signage and well spaced garden benches. You can sit and bask in beauty right in the middle of town.

The signs tell the story of the building, built in 1872. I had no idea the second floor provided living quarters for the head assayer and his family. I also didn’t know there were flower beds, vegetable gardens and an outdoor pavilion on the grounds.

I missed the ceremony celebrating this wonderful project last week. I am thrilled to see it happen. I took a few pictures there and on the way back to my desk,
