Sharing this volunteer opportunity with our friends at Boise Parks and Recreation in case you or anyone you know would like to help us protect and promote pollinator habitat in Boise.

Volunteers needed to help us promote and protect pollinator habitat in Boise! Due to a range of factors including habitat loss, pollinator populations across the globe have experienced a drastic decline. Species including the official insect of the state of Idaho, the monarch butterfly, have declined 80-90 percent over the last few decades. To help turn the tide, Boise Parks and Recreation is working hard to provide high quality, pollinator habitat by planting, monitoring and maintaining dedicated pollinator areas in Boise parks and open spaces. But these areas can be fairly labor intensive to maintain and that’s where you come in! We are looking for some pollinator champions to help us maintain, monitor and expand pollinator gardens in Boise parks. Events are scheduled every other Tuesday from April to September. Additional opportunities will be announced throughout the season. To sign up, visit our Better Impact page: http://bit.ly/PollinatorPosse
