Hey Gen X--Remember those boomboxes, trapper keepers, polaroid cameras, jelly shoes, and scrunchies?

Well, we are taking our Delorean back to the 90's for a day of flashback painting. Capture those neon Lisa Frank motifs onto your favorite mug or plate. Or paint a ceramic troll just like the one you glued to your broken soccer trophy. The day is gonna be da bomb!

Share the dealio with the kiddos of the good old days when group chats were in the front yard and Life 360 meant don't go past the cul-de-sac or be home when the streetlight comes on. Your stories will pair great with our retro themed canvas options for all ages.

And while you are strolling down memory lane with your Gameboy and Walkman, let MJ, Brittany and Alanis get your soul rockin' with our studio jams.

You can do more than you think you can--and this includes building your own mug from clay! In this workshop, you will learn step by step how to build your very own mug using slab and hand building techniques. A variety of tools will be available to add textures and special details, and an instructor will help you craft the perfect handle for your mug

But wait!
It gets even better...You will also get to take a pottery wheel for a spin. As a bonus, you will have the opportunity to throw on the wheel to create a small pour bowl to accompany your mug.

After creating, your pieces will stay at the studio to dry and go through their bisque firing. Once they’re ready, you’ll return at your convenience for a second creative session to glaze your work in any colors or styles you love. It’s a wonderful way to begin your homemade holiday gift‑making or craft something special for your own home.

Discover the magic of clay in this beginner‑friendly, two‑for‑one creative experience. Clay Wall Pockets are the perfect way to introduce yourself to hand building—simple, relaxing, and endlessly customizable.

You’ll start with a prepared slab and learn how to shape, fold, and build two beautiful clay wall pockets for dried flowers, greenery, notes, or tiny treasures. Then the fun keeps going: use your leftover scraps to create mini bud‑vase magnets—adorable little clay vessels that hang right on your fridge.

After building, your pieces will stay at the studio to dry and go through their bisque firing. The Quiet That We Carry: Healing Art Space

Every day many of us quietly carry loads that are just a little too heavy for us and we find ourselves in need for a place to unload that weight. The founder of Twisted Moon Studios built the studio on the foundation that art is a natural and beneficial way to process, cope and heal from the challenges life sends our way.

For many, having a safe space to sit with the feelings of grief, loss, pain, trauma or a mixture of feelings can be hard to come by. We believe that art can hold what words can't. It can soften the edges, give shape to what's heavy, and offer a quiet place for the heart to land. Our studio is always a safe space for that --but on this particular morning, we are opening our doors early to create a gentle refuge for those needing to lay down the heavy they carry.

This time is for anyone who has or is facing grief, loss, trauma, or just needs a place to catch their breath.
Your story matters. Your feelings matters. And you deserve a place where they can rest.

Join us for a quiet, before‑hours open studio where you can create at your own pace. Sit in the stillness. Sip some complimentary coffee. Be surrounded by others who understand the kind of quiet you carry. Bring your own project to work on or borrow our supplies to create. We will provide a few suggested prompts if you just aren't sure where to start or you can just let the art speak for itself.

We want everyone to feel welcomed and comfortable coming into this safe space, so we are not charging a fee for this event. However, there will be a QR code available for anyone feels inclined to pay what you can.

No judgement, no questions. Just a place to let the soul sit a spell and find its creativity.

Just come as you are, and let the studio hold you for a while
