Special announcement!!

We are so excited to introduce you to our new Teacher Mentor, Mrs. Jaime Austin!

Mrs. Jaime has been working at The Garden of Knowledge since November 2024, bringing with her nearly 10 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Jaime's journey in Early Childhood Education began in February 2017 at a childcare center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In 2019, she moved to Idaho, where she continued her career in Early Childhood Education and worked at a childcare center for five years. In November 2024, Mrs. Jaime returned home to Louisiana and was excited to join the team here at The Garden of Knowledge. Mrs. Jaime has recently earned her CDA and teaching certification.

"Teaching young children is something I truly love. One of my favorite parts of being an educator is watching young minds open, grow, and develop as they discover new things. I enjoy creating a classroom environment where children feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and learning through their own experiences.
I especially enjoy incorporating books into my lessons and throughout our daily routine. I believe that reading helps children build their imaginations, vocabulary, communication skills, and love for learning. I also enjoy using experiments and hands-on activities to reinforce the concepts we are learning. Seeing the excitement on children's faces when they can explore an idea and experience it for themselves is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
After 10 years in Early Childhood Education, I continue to be passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and build a strong foundation for their future. I am grateful to be home and to have the opportunity to be part of The Garden of Knowledge, where I can continue doing what I love—teaching, learning, and making a difference in the lives of young children."

We have exciting news and we can't wait to shout this from the rooftops!

For the second year in a row the community has voted us as Best Preschool in the parish!

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to vote for us. We absolutely love being part of and pouring into this community and look forward to dedicating many more years of service to the people of Bogalusa and beyond.

We show up everyday for our students and their families, work tirelessly to provide excellence, and walk in our purpose with a fierce passion for education. It means the world to us to receive this honor from those we serve two years in a row.

Special Announcement!!

It gives me great pleasure to officially introduce our new Assistant Direct, whom we all lovingly call Ms. Jai

Ms. Jai has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, and several years of experience working with children. She is also a Certified Phlebotomy Technician and proud small business owner of Jeweluxe Strands LLC. Both experiences have strengthened her leadership, organization, compassion, creativity, and dedication.

She is passionate about creating a classroom where children feel safe, loved, supported, and excited to learn. As an assistant director, she also enjoys supporting our teachers, partnering with families, and helping create a positive environment where everyone can thrive.

Working with children is more than a career to Ms. Jai; it is something she truly loves.

"I'm excited to help our little learners learn, grow, and shine!"

Congratulations, Ms. Jailyssia Richardson! We are so grateful to have such a compassionate person in leadership who is dedicated to education. Thank you for all that you do inside and outside of the classroom!

🐍🦉🦅 A WILDLY WONDERFUL VISIT! 🐾💚
Our friends from Freedom Ranch came to visit us, and our kiddos had the BEST time getting up close with some amazing animals! 🤩
The children got the opportunity to pet a tenrec, a ball python, and a cavy, while also getting to see a vulture and a screech owl! 🐍🦔🦉
What an incredible hands-on learning experience! Our little ones were able to learn about these unique animals while building confidence, curiosity, and a love for the world around them. 🌎❤️
A HUGE thank you to Freedom Ranch for spending the day with us and making learning so much fun! We are so grateful for the memories and all the smiles! 🥰🐾
