The visibility wasn't that great, but we still had a great time. Check out this video from our final dive with bonus check-out dive. Special thanks to Westside Worship for letting us use some of their songs for our background music.

Friday, July 6. One day dive.
We’ll carpool from Bogalusa at 3:30 AM and head to Gulf Shores to dive the LuLu. We’d embark at 7:30 AM and get off the boat around 2 PM. We’ll grab something to eat and then head on back.
You can definitely meet us at the dive shop on Friday if that sounds like it’s too much. But the LuLu is worth the trip.

The LuLu

The LuLu is Alabama's newest artificial reef. It has 3 deck levels: the top of the ship is right at 60 feet, the main deck level at the top of the cargo hold is right at 95 feet, and then the sand bottom is about 112-115 feet. "Everything is within recreational limits," says Meyers. "There are multi-level possibilities, easy pe*******on and lots of wide open spaces, in addition to the nooks and crannies for creatures to hide in.

"It starts at about 60 feet from the top of the wheelhouse. You don’t have to travel much more than 90 feet to be able to see pretty much everything."

"In the same area as the LuLu there are several really nice army tanks that people often spearfish off of," says Ross. There are also hundreds of barges, army tanks from the Vietnam era, oil rigs, and thousands of limestone reef pyramids in the vicinity.
