A Calorie Deficit Is Necessary for Weight Loss—but It Should Be Healthy
To lose body fat, your body must use more calories than you consume. This is called a calorie deficit. No matter which eating plan you follow, weight loss happens when a calorie deficit is created.
But a calorie deficit does not mean starving yourself, skipping meals, or cutting calories so drastically that you feel weak and deprived. A healthy deficit means nourishing your body with whole foods, enough protein, vegetables, healthy fats, and appropriate portions—while eating slightly fewer calories than your body needs.
And don’t worry—I teach you how to continue enjoying the foods you love while making choices that support your goals!
The goal is not simply to eat less. It is to eat wisely, fuel your body well, and create habits you can maintain.
