Today, our students lived out Kendall Elementary’s core value of Commitment to Service during our 2nd Annual Service Day! From our youngest learners to our 5th graders, every student had the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through hands-on service projects that benefited our school and community. ❤️

Here’s how each grade level served:
🌱 PK planted seeds and helped clean up our community garden
🐾 Kindergarten collected and sorted coins, raising $411 to donate to Boerne Animal Services
🪨 1st Grade painted and laid stepping stones
🎨 2nd Grade painted birdhouses and toy cars to donate to our PK classes
💛 3rd Grade created an affirmation station and painted rock garden
🦴 4th Grade made homemade dog toys to donate to Boerne Animal Services
🎁 5th Grade cleaned up school grounds and organized goodie bags for a local women’s shelter
🧵 Quilt Club created a beautiful baby quilt to donate to Project Linus

We are so proud of our students for demonstrating compassion, generosity, and servant leadership in action. Service is at the heart of who we are at Kendall Elementary, and today was a beautiful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Our first and third graders engaged in another fabulous Zoo Connections day yesterday and got to meet Elmer the Porcupine and learned about the importance of boundaries! We are so thankful for Officer Chavez and the San Antonio Zoo for this continued partnership!

Our multicultural showcase and GATE showcase was a huge success last night! We are so proud of our Kendall Knights and their many talents!
