We are so grateful for the opportunity to come together as a community and honor our Veterans last night at the BHS football game. It was a special evening celebrating those who have served our country.

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate our First Responders with CHS, including the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and so many others who show up for us every day.

We are thankful for these opportunities to come together, celebrate those who serve, and show our appreciation for all they do for our schools, our families, and our community. 🇺🇸

Over the summer, the District shared plans to stabilize the wall. Waterman Construction has been working to determine the process to reinforce the wall. Unfortunately, experts discovered the existing wall did not have a substantial foundation, making stabilization impossible. When efforts were made to reinforce it, the wall began to crack.

The District consulted a structural engineer, who determined that leaving the wall in its current condition posed a significant risk. While we explored every reasonable option to preserve the structure, the safety of our students, staff, families, and community must come first.

Based on expert guidance, we will begin to carefully dismantle the wall. We will salvage as many original bricks and materials as possible and incorporate them into a new piece that honors the landmark’s history, memories, and legacy.

The weather conditions have cleared and we are preparing to begin tonight’s game.
We will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions throughout the evening.
