A fun day of learning at the Des Moines Performing Arts Center! 🚌🔬

Students enjoyed 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲! 𝗩𝗼𝗹. 𝟯: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹! The high-energy, interactive performance brought science to life through exciting experiments, demonstrations, and lots of audience participation.

Our preschoolers have been busy working with numbers 1–5 using five frames! 🔢✨

This hands-on activity helps students practice number identification, one-to-one counting, matching quantities to numerals, and working left-to-right.

So much learning packed into one activity! 🌟

Students designed and built their own parachutes in STEM class. 🪂 They took their creations to the playground to put them to the test! Along the way, they learned about gravity, air resistance, and how different designs affect how a parachute falls.

A great way to learn through designing, building, and experimenting! ✨

At Twin Rivers, we believe every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. 💙💛

Our students start each day with a 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 and end with a 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲. These circles give students a chance to connect with classmates and staff, share their thoughts and feelings, and create a positive sense of community in the classroom. ✨

It’s a simple part of our day that helps students start the day feeling connected and end it on a positive note! 🐾

We had a fun fall field trip to The Community Orchard! 🍎🍏

Students learned how apple trees change through the seasons, how apples are stored, and how apple c***r is made. They even got a behind-the-scenes look at the bakery! 🥧

Of course, their favorite part of the day was playing outside and enjoying everything the orchard has to offer! It was a great day of learning and exploring! ☀️🍂

After 9 amazing years, today is Jayda’s final day at Twin Rivers Elementary! 🐾✨

Over the years, Jayda has been a caring and supportive presence for so many students. Whether helping them learn, encouraging them through challenges, or simply being someone they could count on, she has made a lasting impact. To our staff, Jayda has been so much more than a coworker—she is family. 💙

As she begins her next chapter, we wish her nothing but the best! She will be greatly missed! 💙💛
