As members of one faith family, we are called to lift up in prayer all those affected by this devastating tragedy, especially those who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or been displaced from their homes.

Dear St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School Families,

It is with great joy that I welcome each of you to a new school year at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School. There is something truly special about these first days of school as ourhallways once again come alive with the laughter, energy, and enthusiasm of our students.Seeing our children return rested, refreshed, and ready to learn, grow, and share with one another is a blessing that fills our hearts with gratitude.

On behalf of our clergy, administration, faculty, and staff, thank you for entrusting us with the education and formation of your children. We are deeply grateful that you have chosen Catholic education, where academic excellence is joined with faith, service, and a growing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Helping our children know, love, and follow Christ is one of the greatest gifts we can offer them, especially during these challenging times throughout our world. Together, as partners in faith, we can continue to nurture their hearts, strengthen their character, and inspire them to live the Gospel each day.

Every child who walks through our doors is a treasured gift from God. Every family is an important part of our parish and school community. We value the unique gifts, talents, and experiences that each of you bring, and we are committed to creating a welcoming environment where everystudent feels known, supported, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.

As we begin this new year, I warmly invite you to make the celebration of the Holy Mass a regular part of your family’s life. Our faith grows stronger when we gather together in prayer, and our parish is enriched by the presence of our school families. I also encourage you to participate in the many events throughout the year that bring us together in fellowship, service, and celebration. These moments strengthen the bonds of our community and remind us that we journey in faith together.

May God bless each of our students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and parishioners with a school year filled with wisdom, kindness, friendship, and abundant grace. As our nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we pause with gratitude for the blessings of freedom that have shaped our country’s history. This milestone invites us not only to remember the sacrifices of those who came before us, but also to reflect on our own responsibility to help build a society that honors the dignity of every human person.

As Catholics, our love for our country is expressed not only in words but in action. We are called to give back through our time, our talent, and our treasure. We serve our neighbors, care for the vulnerable, strengthen our families, volunteer in our communities, and support the mission of the Church. In doing so, we help form a nation rooted in justice, compassion, and hope.

One of the greatest strengths of our country is the generosity of its people. Together, Americans continue to reach out to those in need, not only within our own communities but throughout the world. Whether responding to natural disasters, welcoming those who seek safety, feeding the hungry, or supporting charitable ministries, we witness the goodness that comes when people work together for the common good. As Catholics, we are proud to be part of this mission through our parishes, schools, and charitable outreach, living the Gospel by serving Christ in others.

As we celebrate this historic anniversary, let us pray for our nation, for our leaders, for those who serve in the military and in public service, and for every citizen. May God continue to bless the United States with wisdom, peace, and a renewed commitment to liberty, justice, and respect for every person from conception to natural death.

May the Holy Spirit guide us to be faithful disciples, grateful citizens, and joyful witnesses to Christ, always seeking to be instruments of His peace in our homes, our communities, and our nation.

Our Hearts Are With Venezuela 🇻🇪

In moments of great suffering, we are called to be a visible sign of Christ's compassion.
In response to the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez has invited every parish in the Diocese of Palm Beach to join together in a Diocesan-wide effort of prayer, generosity, and hope. We are honored that St. Joan of Arc Church has been designated as one of the Diocese's official collection sites for this emergency relief effort.
We invite our parish family and friends to come to Mass this weekend prepared to give generously.

❤️ A Special Collection will be taken at all weekend Masses to provide humanitarian assistance for those affected by this tragedy.
In addition, we will be collecting:
🥫 Non-perishable food
💊 Over-the-counter medicines and medical supplies
Collection Times:
Saturday, July 4th: At the 4:30pm Mass

The people of Venezuela have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. Together, we can offer hope through our prayers and our generosity. Every donation, large or small, will make a difference and become a tangible expression of Christ's love for those in need.

Tom Purcell at 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵-𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘴 in one of his recent articles tells us this:
"Still, no country comes close to American charitable giving. Recent comparisons from the Charities Aid Foundation and Johns Hopkins show the United States giving about $1,700 per person each year — more than three times the rate of other wealthy nations and up to ten times the levels in France, Germany and Italy.
Why? 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞.

Nearly 200 years ago, Alexis de Tocqueville traveled the United States and marveled at how quickly Americans of every station formed voluntary associations — churches, schools and civic groups — to address needs in their communities.
In “Democracy in America,” he explained that this habit of joining together sprang from what he called “self-interest rightly understood” — the recognition that individuals advance their own well-being by actively helping one another rather than depending on a distant central government.

That remains true today for most Americans.

And as our shepherd, Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez guides our giving for others by knowing what is in our hearts. He says, “𝑰𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔, 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒖𝒔.
