🎉 Congratulations to Samantha Jimenez, M4, for being selected as a recipient of the 2026 American Medical Association (AMA) Physicians of Tomorrow Award.

This national honor is awarded annually to a small number of medical students across the United States and recognizes outstanding achievement in scholastic performance, community service, and meaningful contributions to the field of medicine.

Samantha was nominated by Drs. Mario Jacomino and Alan Louis in recognition of her strong commitment to medical research, sustained community service, and demonstrated leadership throughout her medical training.👏

✨ One student left a note on a final exam that Dr. Nirthieca Suthakaran will never forget.

They shared that while facing personal loss and challenges no one could see, her class gave them something to look forward to each week—a reason to smile.

Today, Dr. Suthakaran is a two-time Florida Atlantic University graduate, educator, mentor, and Department Chair, helping students find their own paths in healthcare and science. Her story is a powerful reminder that the impact of a great teacher often extends far beyond the classroom.
