SENIOR TRIP DAY 4 — We had another amazing day!
The girls enjoyed waterfall rappelling, a visit to Hobbitenango, and a trip to a local Guatemalan market.
The boys took a thrilling ATV tour through Antigua, including a stop at a coffee farm, and then went ziplining high above the forest.
After dinner, we continued the KYHS tradition of Senior Circle. Students and teachers expressed gratitude for classmates, teachers, parents, and relatives who have impacted their lives. It was raw, authentic, powerful, and deeply meaningful.
We’re so sad to be leaving Guatemala, but the memories created this week will last a lifetime. A special thank you to for feeding us and being our home away from home — ¡Esperamos volver pronto!

SENIOR TRIP DAY 3 — We had an incredible day hiking (and for some, horseback riding) up Volcán de Pacaya. The views were breathtaking, with panoramic angles of the surrounding volcanoes, including Volcán Fuego, which was actively erupting today!
At 7,000 feet above sea level, we davened Mincha, enjoyed lunch together, shared a meaningful kumzits, and felt the warmth rising from the volcanic earth beneath us.
It was a truly unforgettable experience and one that will remain with us for a lifetime.

The boys enjoyed the majestic scenery atop Hobbetenango and the thrill of rappelling down a 150ft waterfall.
The day ended with a delicious dinner at and a beautiful kumzits.
And there’s more to come…

SENIOR TRIP DAY 1 — Today we embarked on a one-of-a-kind trip. We landed in El Salvador and spent the day with a small community of Jewish converts in Armenia. We sang, danced, davened, enjoyed delicious food, and made amazing new friends. We also experienced a special milestone — the Greenbaum family generously donated two pairs of tefillin for two new bar mitzvah boys, and we celebrated with them as they wore them for the first time and lained from the Torah. And this is just the start…
