When I hit 5000 friends a few weeks ago, it dawned on me that after 20 years of doing this amazing work, it was time to formally survey my connections, to help me fine tune my vision for the next 20!

So -

Calling ALL friends - whether I've done your child's B-Mitzvah, your wedding, a funeral or baby naming, or you were part of Edjewcation Station -

OR

if you're someone I've connected with professionally in any capacity, your feedback is SO welcome and will help me as I launch new services and products to serve the greater Jewish world in the future.

PLEASE take a few minutes to answer only ** 18 ** questions!

Survey respondents will be entered in a drawing to win a $100 Amazon Gift card - truly legit! (I truly want to reward you for your time!)

Today is International Day of Charity, a day that reminds us of the importance of giving back. In Judaism, we have a beautiful tradition of Tzedakah (צדקה), often translated as charity, but it’s so much more than that. Tzedakah is about justice, fairness, and the responsibility we all share to support those in need.

What You Need to Know About Tzedakah:

✨More than Charity: Tzedakah is not just about giving money; it's about creating a more just and compassionate world.
✨A Mitzvah (Commandment): Giving Tzedakah is a mitzvah, a commandment that emphasizes our duty to help others.
✨Levels of Giving: Maimonides described various levels of Tzedakah, with the highest being helping someone become self-sufficient.

On this International Day of Charity, let’s honor our commitment to Tzedakah by practicing acts of kindness and generosity. Whether it’s giving to a local cause, helping a neighbor, or supporting Edjewcation Station, every act of Tzedakah brings us closer to a better world.

💙 Let’s come together and make a difference! 💙

🌟 Hebrew Word of the Day 🌟

Today's word is "Chesed" (חֶסֶד) - a beautiful word that means "loving-kindness" or "compassion." It's a concept deeply rooted in Jewish tradition, representing acts of kindness and a generous spirit towards others. "Chesed" goes beyond mere charity; it's about going the extra mile to show care and love.

Incorporate some "Chesed" into your day by doing something kind for someone else, big or small—it all counts! ❤️
