Post-ride special treat for John Wargo - good luck and kick ass at Ironman Florida this weekend! May the wind be ever at your back.

Four hours! John is training for Ironman Florida and couldn't let a little tropical storm interfere with his long ride; Scott was gracious enough to keep him company (I only lasted 2:20).

Doghouse friends and family, we've missed you and hope you've stayed well over the past two months!

We are thrilled to be able to re-open for classes beginning Monday, May 18th. Here is what you can expect:

* As required by and consistent with distancing guidelines, we will be opening at 50% capacity. This means there will be 4 spots available for each class. The waitlist is in effect, and with the reduced capacity it is vital that you let us know as far as possible in advance if you need to cancel.

* You will be handling your own bikes. We will ask you to line your bike up in the trainer, and staff will lock the bike in place. Only you are touching your bike, and only staff is touching the equipment.

* Mindbody is open for scheduling, but we had suspended memberships during the closure so you will need to let us know by responding here if you would like your membership re-started.

* Please be advised that the water is off to the showers and fountains so please bring your own water and don't expect to shower! Toilets are still functional.

Good morning Doghouse Family:

As I'm sure you are already aware, Doghouse is closed as required by the current State of Florida and Palm Beach County emergency orders. We will keep you all updated as to a re-opening date as soon as that information is available.

If your bike is at Doghouse and you would like to pick it up, please contact Rick at 561-236-3359 to schedule a time to do so.

In addition, if you have any bike maintenance or repair needs, Rick and Justin will be available and arrangements can be made for curbside drop off / pick up service. Rick is also available for one-on-one outside sessions by appointment.

So, understandably, some Doghouse clients have questions and concerns with regard to training at the studio, and their health and safety. Here are a few things we will implement immediately to address these concerns, and mitigate risk:

Clients will handle their own bikes. We will lock them into trainers and release them, but you'll handle your bike.

We will space out riders whenever possible (have empty trainer between riders)

And it should go without saying, but, if you're not feeling well, or having any symptoms of illness, please stay home. We won't allow you to train if you're obviously not well.

Bring sanitizer if you have any, and use it. Also, the bathrooms at FTX don't have doors, so you can easily wash up without having to touch a door. Would be a good idea to bring your own towels.

These precautions may or may not be necessary, but they aren't difficult and better to be safe at this time.
