Combat Club Boca

I’ve tried to write this letter many times. It’s difficult to sum up all of my thoughts and the necessary information into a social media post. (Ok fine, it’s hard for me to sum up my thoughts in general, lol).

So consider this the short version; the long version will be posted on our site in a few days for anyone who wants to hear it.

When we were first approached to open a location in Boca, we thought it was a great opportunity for the brand, instructors, and students. But we quickly realized that it was just much too close to our main location in Lantana, which posed a number of problems behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, it’s proven very hard for us to give the Boca location the attention it deserves, and I’m sure that the students can feel it (even though they might be too respectful to admit it, which we truly appreciate)

Let’s be honest guys, this place needs an owner who can actually BE HERE. So, we are excited to announce that this location is under new ownership, to none other than UFC veteran and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Heather Jo Clark!

Heather has many years of experience as a martial arts teacher, competitor, and gym owner, and is going to be doing great things with this location.

As a 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Heather will be rebranding this location to become 10th Planet Boca Raton, while also bringing the program to 10p Boca as well.

And yes, and .mma will be staying on board, in addition to Heather and any new staff 🙏🏼

Thanks again Caio, Hugo, Flavio, and Yegor, for their dedication to the students and family, and for always being professional and positive. You are all shining examples for what it means to be martial artists, and great human beings in general 🙏🏼

We are constantly listening to our members and have been working behind-the-scenes to revamp the schedule for sometime now.

And while we are still finalizing the details for the other classes/programs that will be added, we just couldn’t wait any longer to rollout the portion of the schedule that’s been finalized.

Highlights include:

- A complete Kids Martial Arts Program
(Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA)

- More convenient Jiu-Jitsu class times (6pm)

- Morning MMA Fitness classes during the week

We are currently making some great adjustments to our adult MMA and BJJ Gi programs/schedules, among other new class additions, and will post those in the coming weeks as they are finalized.

Huge congrats to the double-champ Coach Fernando! 2 belts in less than a month 🏆

If you know Fernando, you know he dedicates everything he has into his training and teaching. And we could not be more proud to see his hard work paying off!

In less than 1 month, Fernando won the USA Muay Thai Open, and The Komodo Kickboxing Tournament, receiving belts for both titles.

Fernando is a lifelong martial artist. He began training with Coach Rodney at an early age, and in recent years he’s worked tirelessly with Kru Jason to bring his Muay Thai to new heights.

Soon he will be headed to Thailand to compete in the birthplace of the martial art he’s gown most passionate about. The future is looking bright!

Coach Fernando is currently teaching kids and adults Muay Thai at and kids Muay Thai at , along with Kru Jason.

While many schools specialize in 1 aspect of self-defense, our youth martial arts program offers a COMPLETE SELF-DEFENSE program, taught by true professionals who have competed at the highest levels.

Your little Ninjas will learn: striking, grappling, submissions and takedowns, as well as how to defend against them.

In kids Muay Thai, we teach all aspects of striking, from punches and kicks, to knees and elbows, distance and timing. (And let’s be honest, hitting pads is fun 🤪)

In kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) we provide a solid foundation for all aspects of submission grappling. They’ll learn how to defend against chokes, armlocks, and takedowns; ideal against bigger attackers.

And finally, our kids Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes take the techniques learned in our Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu classes, and combine them into MMA combinations and techniques, bringing the worlds of striking and grappling together.

It’s a fact that there’s no single striking or grappling martial art that works in every real world scenario. This is why we offer this complete self-defense program, to prepare the youth with anything that comes their way.
