Hello, Hello!

We hope you guys' weekend was amazing and that everyone stayed cool against the humidity!

Well, we have a few things to remind/discuss/remind you guys about:

1) Last meeting we had Jesse Kopp, one of the co-founders of Hats2Hope, talk to us about how he wanted all of us to help him bring his idea up from the ground. Their mission is "provide happiness to cancer patients throughout the country by donating new and used hats to Cancer Centers. Hats 2 Hope is an organization that brings hats to patients to put a smile on their face. Many people suffer from this terrible disease and Hats for Hope is there to put a hat on their head and give them the strength to keep fighting". So, we basically are wondering who is interested in helping out once we have all the details settled.

2) Also in our last meeting, we discussed helping Christina Johnson this Tuesday October 9th making media kits that she will have set up in the school across the street from Lynn.

3) In our first meeting we had Chandra, who wants to initiate a mentoring group to help you delinquents get through school, any one interested in that?

4) Our weekly meetings have changed! We are no longer meeting every week. We are now going to be meeting every other week. So, out next meeting will be on October the 18th (Week before the debate) at 6 pm at the Knight's Court Patio.

If you guys are interested in any of the volunteering opportunities mentioned above, reply to this e-mail with your name and phone number. Oh, and do spread the word. The more we have to help the merrier!

Hi guys!
Hope all of you are having an amazing summer! We were just stopping by to let you guys know that our first event is coming up earlier than usual. We are starting the year off with a volunteering opportunity for the FAU Football team. We will be helping out in the concession stand(s) for all five of their home games. Here are the dates:

Friday August 31st (Against Wagner)
September 29th (Against North Texas)
October 27th (Against Troy)
November 16th (Against FIU)
December 1st (Against Louisiana Lafayette)

Let us know if you guys are interested and which dates you guys would be willing to go. Please only sign up if you guys are super sure that you guys are going to be able to make it. We will need at least 5 people signed up by July 8th. Thank you.

KNIGHTS GET “PRETTY IN PINK” : Lynn iPulse On Friday, Oct. 14, students got all fabulous in pink for the “Pretty in Pink” ‘80’s Dance Party on campus in the Henke Wing of the International Building.

Congratulations to KIC's Alezandra Berrio, Casie Binkowski, James Davies Orefice, and Stefani Silva for their contributions to Lynn University and the local community as "Shining Stars"!

We are raising money for Relay For Life - an organization that raises money for cancer. "Join our Team": KIC, and help us reach our goal with your generous donation :)

Relay For Life: Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back. Each person has their own reason to Relay - some are more personal than others - but everyone has an opportunity to fight back. Learn how you can fight back through the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life our efforts are helping create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!

KICers made breakfast on an early Saturday Morning for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Lauderdale.

Looking for something totally awesome to do this summer? Come to Romania with me and Dr. Casey! We'll be spending two weeks working with kids needing love and support! Not only will you get to do something completely amazing but you'll also fulfill a 300 level Justice and Civic Life Dialogue class! If you want more details, let me ([email protected]) know!

Knights in the Community (KIC) & friends...

Great job KIC for your hard work at Boca Helping Hands! It was a moving experience for many, and we hope our efforts made a difference. Lynn University's KIC is looking forward to working with Boca Helping Hands again :)
