Talon Hall is officially open!

Today, students began moving into the brand-new, seven-story residence hall on the southeastern portion of the Florida Atlantic Boca Raton campus.

Talon Hall will feature modern study areas to support academic success, along with spacious community kitchens. For relaxation and socializing, the building will offer a vibrant game room, a sundeck, and an outdoor pavilion complete with hammocks, a chipping green, BBQ grills and a fire pit.

It’s exciting to watch the progression of the Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Holocaust and Jewish Studies Building!

The 22,000-square-foot structure, located on the east side of the Florida Atlantic Boca Raton campus, will be the home of the university’s Holocaust education, Jewish studies and related programs.

Can’t wait for the building to open!

The Florida Atlantic University Foundation raised more than $70 million from nearly 10,000 donors at the close of the 2026 fiscal year, marking one of the top five fundraising totals in the university’s history.

“This milestone reflects the extraordinary generosity of the many supporters who believe in Florida Atlantic and its mission of serving our students and community,” said FAU President Adam Hasner.

“As a result of their investment, scholarships, enhanced academic programs and innovative research are opening doors for our students, strengthening our rise as an R1 top-tier research university, and expanding our impact across our region, state and beyond."

Florida Atlantic conferred more than 1,900 degrees this week over the course of four commencement ceremonies in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium.

The summer graduates joined more than 224,000 alumni who have graduated from Florida Atlantic since the university opened its doors in 1964.

It was an honor to welcome Jay Salkini ’85 and Anna Alexopoulas Farrar ’07 back to campus for yesterday’s graduation ceremonies!

These outstanding alums served as commencement speakers for our summer graduates and delivered incredibly inspiring remarks. Blessed to have such amazing alumni willing to give back here at Florida Atlantic.

Honoring the legacy of Bob Lappin and the Palm Beach Pops, this festive concert with full orchestra features holiday favorites, Katherine McPhee's hits, Broadway classics and the Great American Songbook!

Proceeds will benefit Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters student scholarships and Bob Lappin and the Palm Beach Pops Memorial Endowment.
