Congratulations to Arthur Gutterman, this year's recipient of Florida Atlantic University’s President’s Talon Award!
Gutterman has dedicated significant time and resources to philanthropy, with a particular focus on Holocaust and human rights education, higher education, medical research and Jewish community causes.
In memory of his late wife, Emalie, Gutterman named Florida Atlantic’s Gutterman Family Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education at FAU, which supports K–12 educators and school support staff in Southeastern Florida through professional development, curriculum advancement, seminars, and educational travel to Washington, D.C., Israel, and Eastern Europe.
In addition, as a major university benefactor, Gutterman has made additional gifts to provide philanthropic support for the Gutterman Family Tree of Life Entrance and Memorial Garden, an upcoming feature for the Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Holocaust and Jewish Rights Building and programs it will house.
We look forward to celebrating him at our Talon Leadership and Service Awards on Wednesday, October 21.
