🥊 “I don’t feel like going to practice today.”
Parents, you’ve probably heard this before. When the choice is between video games at home and showing up to train, practice may not be your child’s first pick.
But getting through the door can be the hardest part. Once they start moving, practicing with their teammates, and learning something new, that reluctance can turn into enjoyment. 💪
That’s why your support matters. Discipline means learning to stay committed even when motivation isn’t there. A little encouragement and a consistent routine can help your child give training a chance.
Of course, listen when something is wrong. But on those ordinary “I’d rather stay home” days, remind them why they started and encourage them to show up.
At Niko’s Muay Thai Gym, we help kids practice more than technique. We help them build habits around effort, staying active, and working toward their goals.
Behind a child’s progress is often a parent who kept encouraging them. ❤️
