Our 1st Grade A exploring our unit of inquiry Where We Are in Place and Time.” Through hands-on learning, students investigated different types of materials and how they behave.
Using magnifiers, scholars closely examined leaves and natural materials, observing shapes, textures, and details they might not normally notice. With flashlights, they explored how light helps us see objects more clearly and how it interacts with different materials.
Students were also introduced to magnets, where they experimented with positive and negative magnetic forces, discovering how magnets attract and repel. In addition, scholars explored balance and weight through engaging activities that allowed them to test how objects can be balanced and how weight affects stability.
