In Montessori, peace is something we practice every day — through Grace and Courtesy, kindness, respect, independence, and caring for our community and environment.

From our Kindness Jar and Peace activities to our Community Peace Circle, our children had a beautiful week learning that even the smallest acts can make a difference.

A special thank you to our amazing Guides for making the week so meaningful, and to our families for sending in the beautiful natural treasures that helped bring our activities to life. 🤍

Our little ones used real flowers to create beautiful prints, exploring colors, shapes, textures, and patterns while enjoying a hands-on art experience.

Our little ones are learning that caring for our environment starts with the small things. From watering our classroom plant to observing its growth, these everyday moments help children develop responsibility, independence, and a love for nature.

Learning to carry a tray may seem like a simple task, but for our little ones, it is an opportunity to build coordination, concentration, balance, and independence.

Science comes to life when children can observe, explore, predict, compare, and discover for themselves.

Through hands-on Montessori experiences, our children explore living and nonliving things, plants, animals, life cycles, and the changes we see in nature. Along the way, children are learning to care for themselves, others, living things, and the environment.

Our August at New Generation Montessori

🤝 "I Belong" — welcome songs, finding our own cubby, rolling a rug, walking the line, and our very first Grace & Courtesy lessons.

💚 "My Feelings" — naming happy, sad, scared and surprised, breathing through big emotions, and decorating the first letter of our name.

👃 "My Senses" — smelling bottles, color tablets, textures and sounds, discovering the world through sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. And we closed the month celebrating Dr. Maria Montessori's birthday on August 31st — the woman who taught us to follow the child. 🌿

Thank you to every family who trusted us with these first weeks. We can't wait for what September brings.
