Today is Give Like Dolly Day! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Today, we’re carrying that spirit forward. As your local champion of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, we would LOVE to see our local kiddos with a book they have received! Please post pictures in the comments below ❤️📖

It has come to our attention that other organizations/local businesses are selling shirts using our Pirate Foundation slogan, “Sails Up.”

We just want to clarify that only shirts purchased directly through the Pirate Foundation fundraiser support the projects and mission of the Pirate Foundation 🏴‍☠️

We are so grateful for everyone who continues to support our organization and our goal of supporting Boaz City Schools and our students. Every shirt and hat purchased through the Pirate Foundation helps us put money right back into our schools and classrooms.

We’re excited to see LOTS of new “Sails Up” projects funded because of your support!

The PIRATE Foundation is proud to be a local champion of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Created by Dolly Parton to honor her father, the program gives children the gift of a free book every month from birth until their fifth birthday.

Currently, 530 children right here in Boaz have already received free books through this wonderful program. Have a child under the age of 5 who lives in Boaz? Sign them up today and start building their very own home library ❤️

From a touchdown pass and a slide into home, to a three-point shot at the buzzer, a perfect ace serve, a goalie’s save, a no-hitter, or a stride across the finish line… our Boaz Pirates can be there for it all! 🏴‍☠️

Athletic passes are going home TODAY and give FREE admission to all Boaz students to all regular-season Boaz home games!

Now all our Boaz Pirates can be there to support their friends and classmates and cheer them on all season long! 📣

So excited to see lots of our students at Boaz athletic events this school year! Admission includes: football, flag football, volleyball, basketball, track, softball, soccer, and baseball!

🎉 Big news for Boaz City Schools students! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the P.I.R.A.T.E. Foundation and Boaz Walmart, all BCS students will receive free admission to regular-season home sporting events this year! 🏈⚾🏀⚽

Student passes will be distributed in the next few weeks—stay tuned for more info on when and how your student will receive their pass. Let’s pack the stands and cheer on our Pirates all year long! 🏴‍☠️

Have you gotten your yet? We've seen several on the roads lately! Remember that $42 of the plate cost ($50) is going back to support a Boaz classroom! Also, students who have a Pirate Foundation tag on the vehicle you will be driving to school, you do not have to pay for parking at school this year!! (Does not include parking for games, etc) ❤️🏴‍☠️

The PIRATE Foundation was proud to award more than $17,000 in classroom and school-wide grants during the 2025–2026 school year!

Congratulations to this year’s Pirate Foundation Scholarship recipients, Aly Sullivan and Hadleigh Hayes!

We had several outstanding applicants this year and choosing our recipients was not easy. We are proud to recognize these students for their hard work and commitment to continuing their education.
