I did this painting from a memory of watching my mother hang laundry on a cold March morning. I was four years old and watched her from the front room window. I love the windy March weather and working in the beds of spring bulbs. I hope you enjoy:

The dreaded cross where our Lord knew he would sacrifice His life for us. The darkness of the Cross had to be endured to pay for the sins of mankind.
Envy, greed, selfishness, power and pride of people were reasons that led evil or callous people to crucify Him.
Let's all make an effort during this holy week to check our hearts and rid them of all these sins.
That would be a wonderful way to repay Jesus for His sacrifice. Happy Palm Sunday!!

This old coffee house is a landmark in New Orleans and a favorite place of anyone who has enjoyed their beignets with rich coffee and chicory.
