Alabama’s First Class Pre-K program has once again been recognized for its high quality in the newly released 2024 State of Preschool report. Alabama remains the only state in the nation to achieve this distinction for 19 consecutive years!
The National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) tracks preschool enrollment, funding and quality across states. The 2024 State of Preschool Yearbook finds Alabama is one of only five states in the country to meet 10 of 10 research-based quality benchmarks making it one of the highest quality pre-kindergarten programs in the nation.
Alabama First Class Pre-K offers 4-year-olds access to prekindergarten programs in their communities. It currently serves more than 24,000 children across all 67 counties in the state.

Alabama Infant Toddler Specialist Network (ITSN) will be hosting their 2nd Annual ITSN Conference on February 21st - 22nd, 2025. Please see the flyer below for more information.

⭐️⭐️Childcare Resource Network (CRN) would like to sponsor at least 10 individuals who work in Cherokee, DeKalb, Jackson, or Marshall counties (Alabama) to attend the ITSN 2025 Conference. This means that CRN will be responsible for paying the chosen applicants' attendance fee for the 2-day virtual sessions.
