To our Class of 2026 Dance Team Seniors, your pages are now and forever etched into the book of Westwood Dance Department excellence. You are the epitome of first class.

✨️To our Leadership: You have been the standard. You defined respect, integrity, and decorum, showing this program what it truly means to hold your peers accountable while leading with grace.

✨️To our Team: You pushed the bar. From exploring uncharted territories with our Junior Varsity to introducing those now-iconic stand rings, you set a new blueprint. Both Varsity and JV did a beautiful job in performance, in the classroom, and most importantly, when no one was watching.

Look at the history this senior class made:

📸 Throwback Thursday: History in the Making

🏰The Castle hasn't seen 🏆competition🏆 energy like this in years!

📅 For , we’re throwing it back to an unforgettable December 2025 during Season 6.

For the first time since 2017, the First Class Danceline stepped back into the competitive arena, trading the Friday night lights and pep rallies for the big stage at the Holy City Holiday Classic in Charleston, SC.

Our Redhawks didn’t just show up, they represented the standard of excellence that defines Westwood. Competing in Lyrical, Jazz, and Hip-Hop, our dancers pushed themselves beyond their comfort zones, expanding their artistry and proving they are more than just stands dancers, they are performers, athletes and artists.

The Result?

🏆 1st Place • JV Jazz
🏆 1st Place • JV Hip-Hop
🌟 The Rising Star Award (Recognized by the judges as the premier emerging program in the sports entertainment competition space!)

This historic day was made possible by a village of support. From our school leadership and the Redhawk student body to our phenomenal families and the transportation department that kept us safe on the road.🙏🏾Thank you.

💐 A special salute to our three phenomenal choreographers for their vision, and to our coaching staff, whose dynamic leadership steered us through this uncharted territory with grit and grace. Thank you to the SC Dance Association (SCDA) for the competition platform and Wando High School Dance Team for being such a hospitable host.

🎓To our Seniors: You left a legacy. Walking away with 1st place trophies in your final season is the ultimate "curtain call." ❤️
