🚂 Did you ride the Walker Park train when you were little? 🔔

Well, we have some exciting news… the bell that once adorned the front of the Walker Park train is headed back to the museum! 🎉

We are incredibly thankful to the wonderful people who helped us discover where the bell was and, even more importantly, donated it back to the museum so we can preserve this special piece of Blytheville history. ❤️

For so many local families, the Walker Park train was part of growing up. We can’t wait to give this little piece of that memory a place in the museum.

We have multiple classes coming to the museum this fall! Make sure you keep an eye out for registration opening in September. All classes will be capped at 20 attendees so don’t miss your chance!

Had a great time at Blytheville Lions Club sharing all the wonderful programs we have at the museum, along with our upcoming ones. Thanks for the invite!

Delta Gateway Museum Director Melinda Martin shared with us today all of the great programs that are being not only offered in Blytheville, but around Mississippi County, through the museum.
Martin noted a paint and sip will be held next month at Walker Park, after a successful turnout a few months back at Cypress Park.
She also discussed programs such as: Science Saturday; Smart Snacks; and Suitcase Stories.
Also, if you know someone who is trying to learn English as a second language, they offer those programs as well.

We had a whirlwind of fun at Science Saturday in Osceola and Blytheville! The kids created tornadoes in a jar and replicated rain clouds while learning about weather. ☁️🌧️

🎉 That’s a wrap on our Summer Adult Beginners Spanish Class! 🇪🇸

Tuesday marked our final class of the summer, and we want to thank everyone who joined us. It was a wonderful group, and we loved learning Spanish together!

If you weren’t able to attend our last class, your certificate of completion is ready for pickup at the Delta Gateway Museum.

📚 Good news! We’ll be offering another 8-week Adult Beginners Spanish Class this fall. Registration will open in September, so be sure to watch our page for details.
