And right before teacher appreciation week 💚

Today at the City of Bluefield Board Meeting, we had the honor of recognizing the wonderful Jana Jarrett!

Talk about a heart of gold—Jana opened the Golden Rule School on Albemarle, creating a place of care, learning, and support for so many. She and her students have also played a big role in helping maintain the Community Garden on College Avenue, showing true pride in our community.

As City Manager Cecil Marson said it best, “If only there were 1,000 more like her, we would be in great shape!”

Jana, thank you for your kindness, leadership, and all that you do to make Bluefield a better place. We are so grateful! 🌱
