"First, Next, Last" moments in Pre-K! 🧩✨

Our Pre-K 2 teachers used a sequencing activity with grocery story picture cards to teach First, Next, and Last. This helps our Pre-K learners build the "logic muscles" they need for reading and problem-solving.

Why we love picture sequencing:
• Boosts Literacy: Helps kids understand story structure. 📖
• Encourages Logic: Connects cause and effect.

🧱 More than just stacking: Why block play is crucial for preschoolers! 🧠

Those simple wooden or plastic blocks are some of the most powerful learning tools in our classroom.

When children build, they are developing critical skills that last a lifetime:
• Math & Spatial Skills: They learn about shapes, balance, size, and comparison.
• Problem Solving: They figure out why their tower is falling and how to fix it.
• Fine Motor Skills: Grasping, lifting, and placing blocks strengthens tiny hand muscles.
• Collaboration & Language: Working with others to build a city means planning, sharing, and communicating ideas.

❄️ Sparkle, science, and snowflakes! 🎨

PreK had a magical time exploring the world of absorption and crystallization with this easy salt and watercolor activity! Our PreK Class drew their snowflakes with glue, sprinkled them with salt, and then dabbed liquid watercolor (or watered-down paint) onto the salt. Watching the color spread and the salt crystals glitter was pure joy and a fantastic way to introduce a little bit of winter chemistry!

It's a wonderful, low-prep science and art activity you can try at home or in the classroom!

🎨 Embracing the Process, Not the Product! ☃️

We traded perfection for exploration today with our Melted Snowman Craft! The magic of process art is all about the experience—the mixing, the squeezing, the gluing—not what the final product looks like.

For preschoolers, this kind of art is so valuable because it:
• Builds confidence (there's no wrong way to do it!).
• Develops fine motor skills.
• Encourages creative problem-solving.

The result? Pure, messy, snowman-puddle joy!

Our Infants Class has turned gift wrapping scraps into a fun learning activity!

Encouraging infants to reach for and grab these bows is a fantastic way to develop hand-eye coordination and strengthen those small muscles. Every grab is a developmental win! 💪
