Apple Orchard Field Trip

Mark your calendars and get your cameras ready! It is that time of year and our Friday, September 30th field trip is just around the corner. We are going to Alldredge Apple Orchard in Platte City.

The children will have many opportunities to experience the fall harvest with a hayride, pumpkin picking, and apple picking. The children can also encounter barnyard animals, from goats to horses, barn cats, chickens, and geese.

This fieldtrip is open to all children enrolled at Montessori Day School including the infants. This trip can include siblings and extended family! Check your child's mailbox for a permission slip.

Montessori Day School is excited to announce that we are finally emerging from our Covid cocoon! We had a wonderful Picture Day last week for the first time in over two years. This Fall we are returning to our “normal” schedule of exciting activities that involve inviting our loved ones to visit our school environment. Moms are up first, on Wednesday, August 10 with Morning with Mom, or a Special Friend. Formal invitations will be in your child’s cubby or mailbox when we get closer to the date.

The entire schedule of events for the rest of the year will be out shortly. We look forward to seeing all of you!

If Blue Springs Public Schools do not hold in-person classes tomorrow, March 7, 2022, due to inclement weather, Montessori Day School of Blue Springs will also be closed for the day.

Montessori school seeks experienced 2 year old (pre-primary) teacher. Must have Montessori certification, Early Childhood college hours, or elementary certification OR have verifiable preschool classroom experience and classroom management skills. Can you spend your day teaching children to put work back on the shelf, potty train them, not say the word “no” and do it with a smile on your face? If so, then this job may be for you. Applicant must be great with children, parents and co-workers. Position requires an education professional who is dedicated to children and the learning process. Hours can be either full or part time depending on the applicant. Four, six and eight hour shifts are available depending on the applicant. Apple Orchard Field Trip

Mark your calendars and get your cameras ready! It’s that time of year and our Friday, September 24th field trip is just around the corner.
We are going to Alldredge Apple Orchard in Platte City. The children will have many opportunities to experience the fall harvest with a hayride, pumpkin picking, and apple picking. The children can also encounter barnyard animals, from goats to horses, barn cats, chickens, and geese.

This fieldtrip is open to all children enrolled at Montessori Day School including the infants. This year we are opening the field trip to include siblings! Due to Covid restrictions we will not be taking a bus this year. Parent(s) or family members will need to drive their own child(ren) to the apple orchard where we will all meet. The school will still be open. If your child will not be attending the field trip, we will need to know your plans.

Please check your child’s mailbox in the next few days for an information sheet and permission form. See you there!
