BSSD 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year Adri Marble has been named a 2027 Missouri Teacher of the Year Semifinalist! Mrs. Marble was also named a 2026-2027 Kansas City Regional Teacher of the Year and is also the James Lewis Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Marble is now one of the 16 semifinalists eligible for the Missouri Teacher of the Year. She is in her 20th year as an educator and also serves as a soccer and basketball coach at Blue Springs High School.

Among her many accomplishments, Marble is responsible for bringing the One School, One Book program to her school and engaging students and families in literacy through a partnership with Mid-Continent Public Library. Marble is passionate about literacy and encourages her colleagues to intentionally engage and encourage students and staff every day.

BSSD's recent Missouri Teacher of the Year Semifinalists include Voy Spears Jr. Elementary teacher Lindsey Watson (2022-2023) and Brittany Hill Middle School Band Director Matt Willis (2023-2024).

Congratulations to Mrs. Adri Marble on this very well-deserved honor. 🎉
