A bad shoulder, a rebuilt knee, a back that flares up. Those set constraints, not disqualifications. Movements get substituted, range gets limited, loads get capped, and the training continues. My background is gymnastics and corrective exercise. Most of what I've done since 1994 is build programs around limitations.

Wondering what it’s actually like to walk into CFC for the first time?

Come on in.

From the moment you walk through the door, you’re not expected to know everything. You don’t have to be β€œin shape” first, and you definitely don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

You’ll find coaches who know your name, members who will cheer you on, and a community that wants to see you get stronger wherever you're starting.

This is Crossfit Cerberus

Come see what we’re about.

Every workout here has a version for someone in their first week and a version for someone in their tenth year. Load changes, reps change, range changes, the stimulus stays the same. Walking in untrained doesn't mean a different class. It means a different number on the whiteboard.

Stretching harder isn't always the answer.

Recovery at Cerberus is not a generic follow-along routine.

Each 1:1 session is built around you, building you a custom plan based on what is found during the assessment.

Nobody feels like an athlete first and then trains. The training comes first, for months, while it still feels like borrowed clothes. The label arrives later, after enough evidence has piled up that the brain stops arguing with it. Waiting to feel ready reverses the order.

The nervous system updates on repeated physical experience, not decisions. Roughly six sessions is where new people start moving differently: getting under the bar without hesitating, finishing a warm-up without stopping. That's not motivation returning. That's the body having new data.

SUNDAY MEMBER OF THE WEEK MEET BRAD

When we asked Brad, β€œWhat keeps you coming back to the gym?” his answer was a great reminder of what fitness is really all about.

β€œWhat keeps me coming back to the gym? It's the things outside the gym that keep me coming back. I have goals and things I want to do, like play with my grandkids, stay healthy and active as I get older, be able to do hard work, and volunteer with good energy and strength. Going to the gym on a consistent basis enables me to do all the things I want to do outside the gym. It's a bonus that the people and coaches are great!”

Brad, we love this perspective! Fitness isn't just about what you can do inside the gym. It's about building the strength, energy, and confidence to keep doing the things you love for years to come.

Whether that's keeping up with your grandkids, tackling a hard job, serving your community, or staying active as you get older, the real win is what your hard work in the gym allows you to do outside of it.

We're grateful to have Brad as part of the CrossFit Cerberus community!

We want to hear from you: What keeps YOU coming back to the gym? Tell us in the comments!

The work of getting fit is fixed: reps, sleep, food, time under load. What makes it drag is everything paid on top. Deciding again every morning. Negotiating with the alarm. Dreading the class before it starts. Remove that layer and the same reps produce more. Showing up on a set schedule with a coach and a program removes most of it.

Solo plans run on willpower, which runs out around week three. A class runs on schedule and company. 5:30am, 9am, 4:30pm, 5:30pm. Same people, same clock, coach expecting you. That structure carries people through the weeks willpower doesn't.

🌟 COACH SPOTLIGHT: CANDACE LOGAN 🌟

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ Kettlebell Coach | Recovery Coach | Nutrition Coach

Meet Coach Candace! πŸ’ͺ❀️

Candace is in her 3rd year coaching at CrossFit Cerberus, and her passion for helping others has grown into something pretty special!

πŸ“š Credentials? She's got a few!
ACE Group Fitness β€’ Revelation Wellness β€’ Prosper Nutrition β€’ Applied Stretching Theory & Practice β€’ Christian Life Coaching β€’ Body Tempering

❀️ What does she love most about coaching?

Nutrition coaching holds a special place in Candace's heart! She loves building one-on-one relationships and getting to be a small part of someone's story as they grow stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Her favorite transformation to witness? Watching someone trade an all-or-nothing mentality for a growth mindset. πŸ™Œ

πŸ† Biggest accomplishments?

Being a mom to her four kids tops the list! But making it to the Kettlebell World Championship and placing is a pretty incredible accomplishment, too!

And she's not slowing down! Her next big goal is competing at the 2027 Kettlebell World Championship in Serbia! πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΈπŸ’ͺ

πŸ’‘ A lesson she's learned along the way:

You can't build the strength you want without giving your body the fuel it needs! Learning to eat enough has been one of her biggest personal nutrition lessons.

🌿 Outside the gym:

Candace is a wife, mom of four, and dog mom to a Golden Aussie doodle! Between her kids' sports and activities, volunteering weekly at church, and training, life stays busy. When she finds some downtime, you'll catch her hiking, camping, or paddleboarding.

πŸ˜‚ Favorite Cerberus memory?

During her first year at CFC, Candace and Bri tackled the Dry Tri together. The only problem? They were so busy chatting that they missed ALL their turns! By the time they finally made it back to the gym, everyone else had already finished! 🀣 Apparently, the conversation was just that good!

πŸ’¬ Show Coach Candace some love in the comments! Whether she's helping you fuel your body, recover, or crush your kettlebell goals, she's all about helping you become the strongest version of yourself!
