Practice Tip - Giving Definitive Goals!
Parents, we always do our best to encourage and motivate students to practice over the week. Here's one way to help your children achieve better practice: instead of just telling your child to practice, give them a specific thing to practice.
Having a definitive task to work on while practicing has two major benefits. It tells the student exactly what to do instead of giving them the abstract idea of practice, and it helps define an end point. Just having one quick and defined practice session every day will help you see faster improvement.
Your instructor will always state things to work on over the course of the week. All you need to do is remind your child of what they were told at the end of their lesson.
