This Week at FCMS (October 12th - October 16th):

This week, we’re celebrating National School Lunch Week with the theme “Cafeteria Circus: Where School Meals and Healthy Choices Take Center Stage!” We encourage all students to eat school lunch this week for a chance to win prizes!

Monday: Miss FCMS Pageant participants’ Entry Fee, Biography Form, and Sponsorship money are due to Katie Seabolt in the front office.

Wednesday: Our School Governance Team will meet at 7:30 AM in our conference room. These meetings are open to our parents and community members, and we welcome you to attend!

Wednesday: Report Cards will come home with students.

Friday: Fall Dance, 5:00-7:00 PM. Students in grades 6th-8th can attend. Admission is $5. Concessions will be available for purchase. Parent Pick-up will begin outside at 7:00 PM.

Sports Schedules:
Tuesday: Tennis (Home) vs. White Co. at 4:15 PM
Thursday: Tennis (Home) vs. Lumpkin Co. at 4:15 PM

A big thank-you to Lindsey Garland, a physical therapist at Blue Ridge Medical Center, for making her first visit of the school year to our Health classes!

Lindsey visits our students every nine weeks, sharing valuable hands-on experiences that promote health and wellness. Our students always enjoy learning resistance band stretches, practicing balance drills, and, of course, spending time with her therapy dog, Roscoe! 🐾

We are so grateful for Lindsey’s continued dedication to our students and her willingness to share her time and expertise with us year after year. We appreciate all she does for FCMS! 💙

🎉 Congratulations to our 8th-grade Students of the Month! 🎉

These students were selected by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding citizenship, excellent attendance, respect for others, and strong academic performance. We are so proud of their hard work and for being a positive example at FCMS!

We were excited to welcome Fannin County EMS back to FCMS for their first visit of the school year yesterday! Each nine weeks, Fannin County EMS visits our Health classes to share valuable information and real-world experiences with our students.

During this visit, our 6th and 8th grade Health classes had the opportunity to explore the inside of an EMS vehicle, learn about life-saving equipment, and discover more about the important work of emergency responders. Our 8th graders also learned about the career pathway available to them in high school!

A huge THANK YOU to Fannin County EMS for their continued partnership and dedication to educating our students while inspiring future careers! 💙🚑

Our FCMS HOSA and TSA students had a great time today at Six Flags for the Fall Leadership Rally!

Students had the opportunity to build their leadership skills, connect with other students, and enjoy plenty of fun and thrills along the way!

It was a great day of leadership, learning, and fun for our HOSA and TSA students!

Get ready, Rebels—it’s time to hit the dance floor! All FCMS students in grades 6–8 are invited to our Fall Dance on Friday, October 16th, from 5:00–7:00 PM!

Before Fall Break, our 7th-grade math students welcomed the season with a fun “Falling Into Math” Integers Activity!

Students put their integer skills to work by solving the problems, coloring their designs, and then assembling their work to create 3D leaves!
