Great game. Great weather. Great atmosphere.

We just didn't get the result we wanted, falling in a close game to Nokomis on 8th Grade Night.

But the result doesn't take away from the effort these girls gave tonight or everything they have put into Meridian Softball. We are proud of them and proud of the way they competed.

Thank you, 8th graders, for everything you've given to this program.

8TH GRADE NIGHT TONIGHT!

What a night for our MS Softball team! Last night, the girls picked up a big 12-0 win over WL!

Tonight, the Hawks are back in action as they take on Nokomis at 4:30 PM — and tonight is extra special because it’s 8th Grade Night!

We want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our 8th graders for everything they have brought to Meridian Softball. We are proud of these girls and excited to celebrate them tonight!

HOME OPENERS ARE HERE!

Tonight marks the beginning of another exciting season at home as Meridian Volleyball and Meridian Soccer host their home openers!

Volleyball vs. Sullivan--JV starts at 6:00PM
Soccer vs. Olympia--Game time 6:00PM

There is also something new making its debut tonight — our new American Flag, which will be proudly displayed. We are excited to add this flag to our HS gym and create another way to show pride and tradition within Meridian Athletics.

A special thank you to Decatur Memorial Hospital and the Decatur Memorial Foundation for their generous support of Meridian Athletics. Their community sponsorship helped make this project possible, and we are grateful for their continued investment in the health, wellness, and activities of our students.

The home-opening excitement continues later on this week! Meridian Football will host its home opener this Saturday against Oblong. Game time 6:00pm.

We hope you'll join us and help give our teams a great home-opening atmosphere! Let's pack the gym, fill the stands, and support our Hawks!

MS Softball Fans!

Corpus Christi has asked if we can push the start time of our softball game back to 11:00 AM, and we have let them know that will work for us.

We are still waiting to hear back from their officials, but right now, the plan is to play at 11:00 AM.

If anything changes, Coach Johnson will send an update through the MS Softball SportsYou app.

HAWKS WIN BIG!

After making the two-hour trip to Pal-Hut, our football team came away with a 62-14 victory!

What a way to open the season. Great job by our players and coaches, and thank you to everyone who made the long trip to support the Hawks!

Now it’s time to come home!
